How long does a backorder take?
Shreddies allows for backorders on most products. You will be prompted upon purchase if the item is out of stock and if backorders are accepted. Backorders are usually received within 2-3 weeks. Whilst most backorders are delivered before this timeframe, due to COVID-19 postal service impacts, some backorders may experience delays. We will provide an estimated timeframe for your backorder in your customer account.
Why are they called Shreddies?
Shreddies is a colloquial term for underwear originating in the British Forces and is well known throughout the Commonwealth. During long repeated marches and drills the underwear fibers would break down and ‘shred’ leaving them unusable.
